About Sacred Spaces
Therapy that honors the whole person.
Lauren and Jen are Licensed Clinical Social Workers who bring diverse professional and lived experiences to their work. Our different paths shape the way we understand healing, relationships, resilience, and change, allowing us to bring both clinical knowledge and a deeply human perspective to therapy.
We provide integrative online psychotherapy for adults throughout New York State. Our work is grounded in social work values and a commitment to dignity, self-determination, cultural humility, social justice, and the healing potential of human connection.

Our Approach
Therapy at Sacred Spaces is collaborative, relational, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change grows from greater awareness, connection, and self-understanding.
We draw from attachment-based, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, humanistic, and integrative approaches, adapting the work to you rather than expecting you to fit into a particular model. Sessions may include exploring relationship patterns, emotions, beliefs, nervous-system responses, body awareness, mindfulness, and practical ways of creating change.
We are interested not only in what is happening now, but also in the experiences, relationships, environments, and systems that have shaped you. The goal is not to tell you who to become, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and move toward a life that feels more authentic and sustainable.
For clients who want to explore it, therapy can also make room for spirituality, intuition, meaning-making, mindfulness, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
Lauren and Jen each have their own spiritual practices and belief systems. These experiences deepen the qualities we bring to our work—presence, curiosity, self-awareness, openness, and compassion—without determining what spirituality should look like for anyone else.
We welcome spiritual exploration and development, existential questions, contemplative practices, and healing from religious or spiritual trauma. There is no prescribed path and no particular belief system to adopt. Spirituality is always optional, free from dogma, and guided by what feels meaningful to you.
Spirituality in Our Work
What Is Sacred?
To us, the sacred is not defined by a particular religion or belief system. It is what becomes meaningful when we bring attention, care, honesty, and presence to our lives.
The sacred can be found in relationships, creativity, recovery, nature, ritual, stillness, grief, joy, change, and the parts of ourselves we are learning to understand more fully.
At Sacred Spaces, therapy is a place to slow down, listen more closely, and make room for what matters—a place to explore what feels true, what needs healing, and what you want to carry forward.
You do not need to arrive with answers. You can begin exactly where you are.
